"Maid Marian" by Elsa Watson

  1. 1. In the book Marian takes on several alias's....Lucy, Mary Cox, and then Kate Thatcher. Is it possible that in season 3 the new character could possibly be our Marian as Kate in disguise?? Would we the fans except this plot, especially without Lucy Griffiths? Hmmmm, for me I'm still pondering.

    2. Did you find yourself comparing this Marian with those of our beloved *tv*
Marian? I know I did.....yet, I found that I loved watching how she became stronger and independent with each new challenge. Gosh, I was amazed how ingenious she was when it came to her disguises, especially Lucy! That takes a strength and bravery all on its own. She was timid, yet bold at the same time.

    3. How did you compare this Robin with that of our *tv* character? Though, the book is about Marian, I felt that we had to discuss the hero, too. I found myself thinking that maybe the writers had patterned their character after the one in the book, lol! I could see the smirks he would give to Marian and that *cheeky* smile as I was reading. Of course I love how they developed their love story, too.

    4. This book was mainly in the *first* person dialogue....did you find it frustrating? Many of those I've spoken to will not read a book in first person, but this one flowed and I found myself on a journey with Marian.

    5. Did you like the cover of the book? If you saw this book on a table in a bookstore would you purchase it based on the cover alone? The reason I ask....I did just that! I picked this book up a few years ago when I saw the cover, LOL! I loved the title, but I always gravitate towards book covers. I cannot tell you how many times I will purchase AND read a book for its cover. I must say that I'm fortunate, since 9 times out of 10 the book is definitely a keeper.
